Stanstead Lodge

Repairs to this grade 2 listed building including conservation of the conservatory. Existing cast iron elements were retained where possible and supplemented by new structure to recreate the lantern light. The completed structure was justified to meet current wind load requirements by discreetly introducing thicker structural glass panes. Without this innovative use of glass, it would have been necessary to use unsightly bracing.
